DOST releases P1.1M to Pangasinan firm for expansion

Datuin Machine Works (DMW) hopes to expand for its operation after availing the Department of Science and Technology (DOST)-Small Enterprise Technology Upgrading Program on August 9, 2016 here.

For almost 28 years of operation, Engr. Bryan V. Datuin, DMW manager in Calasiao, Pangasinan said, they specialized in all kinds of engineering and reconditioning works, likewise, on industrial machineries fabrication.

The P1,128,000 worth of assistance will be used for the acquisition precision machinery used in its series. According to the firm, they want to take advantage of the opportunity to increase productivity especially when it comes to machining in order to increase income and generate additional employment.

Mr. Datuin further said that they have shops in Calasiao and Ilocos Norte to cater to more customers. Among the regular clients of DMW include Philex Mining Corporation, National Irrigation Administration in Regions 1 and 2, Universal Leaf Tobacco Corporation, Pepsi Cola Bottling Company, Sual Power Plant, Mhel Bhen Bus Line and Barangay Machine Works.


Moreover, the firm plans to link and promote its products and services through social networking sites. The firm also intends to adopt other firm’s promotional strategies like freebies and distribution of calendars and t-shirts. (Monette H. Herrera)
