Mister of Filipinas Ocean 2017
Prior to his international title, the 22-year-old Laoagueño was crowned as Mister of Filipinas Ocean 2017 on September 30, 2017 at Esplanade Mall of Asia in Pasay City making him the country’s representative to the Mister Model Worldwide search.
The said search, however, was postponed twice, and Mr. Pasion had to wait for it to finally begin.
Thankful
In a press interview, Mr. Pasion said he was so thankful for this unexpected award since he said he is a “neophyte” in the field of pageants.
The Mr. Laoag 2017 was his first foray into the field. After which, he competed in the national Misters of Filipinas then finally to the Mister Model Worldwide.
“Hanggang ngayon parang di ko pa poinexpect itong title kasi ang hirap po talaga makamit tapos ang hirap pang mag-adjust sa country nila sobrang lamig at hindi ko alam paano kainin ang foods nila,” Mr. Pasion said smiling.
Carlo thanked the PEPP’s family, especially to the organization president Mr. Carlo Morris Galang and Mr. Laoag organizer Laoag councilor Handy Lao for their “unending support” since he started competing in pageants.
The Mr. Model Worldwide search was organized and presented by the Rubaru Group with the motto “Muscles with Intellect” focusing on the creation of awareness and support to the very noble cause of women empowerment.
Staying in India
In his one-week stay in India, Mr. Pasion learned some of the cultures and environment.
As a Mr. Model Worldwide 2018, his campaign focuses on how to stop violence against women and children.
His campaign is in relationship with his short stay in India learning their daily news regarding abused children and in even in social media and he wanted the entire Worldwide organization to be reminded in helping him to campaign to stop this violence.
